About Us
SLS Services was started in 1991 by Charlie Scott who is a fourth-generation small business owner. Due to the increasing demands for residential grading, SLS Services transitioned its work to meet the market’s needs. As work grew, our company grew with it. In 2013, Charlie started SLS Services sister company, Environmental Site Solutions. ESS was created to provide construction sites with environmentally friendly erosion control solutions and concrete washout containers. Our main objective for ESS is to maintain an environmentally friendly work place for our builders.
SLS Services, LLC has been awarded as the “Most Valuable Player” by NVR, Inc.
Won “Best of Show” at the Parade of Homes while working for Fox Ridge Homes for our yard grading and sod installation.

Meet Our Team
Charlie Scott
CEO and Partner
Inspired by his grandfather’s entrepreneurship, Charlie started SLS Services, LLC. He is a fourth- generation businessman with over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. During his free time, Charlie loves to duck hunt with his daughter.
Berni Scott
Partner
Started working for a globally known bank. Berni has over 35 years of experience working as an accountant in the real estate and investment industry. She has an AS in Computer Science.
Brent Thoeny
Operations Manager
Has a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Washington State University. Has more than 20 years of experience working first hand with national builders. Brent has helped start several custom home building companies. He also maintains an active commercial/residential contractor license.
Jim Brunner
Operations
Jim has worked over 30 years overseeing medical supply operations for a national company. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Also, he is a board member of the Tennessee Kidney Foundation and has been for 11 years.
Danny Francescon
Field Supervisor
Danny graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1984 and has a bachelor’s degree in Education and a minor in English and History. He has over 20 years of working experience in the construction industry. Also, he loves to hunt and fish with his family.
Eric Epstein
Shop Supervisor
Eric has 30 years in the automotive repair, and towing industry and is a certified tow operator, as well as a certified D.O.T INSPECTOR. In their downtime (which is rare) Eric and his crew like to cruise, and eat good food!
Fernando Diaz

Patty Crunk
Accountant
Started out in banking as an accountant in 1973. Patty is completely self-taught and has over 46 years of experience in the field. She says besides working for SLS Services, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
Mario Guerra
Field Supervisor & E&S Manager
Trent Zuniga
HR Manager
Trent Zuniga graduated from Urshan College with a bachelors in organizational leadership, and has an associates degree in general science from Volunteer State Community College. Trent has several years of experience in HR and administrative work. During his free time he loves playing golf and spending time with his family.
Michael Scott
Project Manager
Michael Scott (the original) graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s in construction science. After college, Michael spent four years working for multiple commercial construction companies as a Project Manager in Knoxville. He is happy to be back in Nashville with his friends and family, where he can go out on the lake, play soccer, and hit the downtown scene with his wife.
Hunter Bennett
Landscape Designer
Hunter Bennet graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture. He recently celebrated five years at SLS Services where he has worked on many job sites and now heads our custom landscape design department. Hunter says when he isn’t working at SLS, he spends all his free time hunting down the elusive Mallard duck.
Rachel Scott
Secretary
Rachel graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in child and family studies. Rachel started working for SLS Services at a young age. She would lay sod on job sites and mow lawns. Rachel is always looking to help her fellow employees in any way she can. She is truly a gift to this team.
Yariel Yournet
Scheduling Manager
Yariel Yournet started at SLS Services as a laborer. He then trained and became one of SLS Services best operators. After some time serving in the operator position he then transition into his current role as scheduling manager. Yariel has several years of experience in the construction industry. He has grown within the company and SLS Services is proud to have him apart of the team.
